My buddy Alex dropped some wisdom in form of a tweet: “There's no greater waste of time than justifying your actions to people who have a life you don't want."
Powerful, right?
This got me reflecting on a mindset I've been preaching for ages…never take advice from sideline spectators.
You see, if they're not in the game, their opinions don't count.
Only those in the arena matter.
But if you wouldn't trade lives with someone, why on earth would you follow their advice?
Whether it's money, fitness, business, or relationships, if their results aren't enticing, why listen?
Growing up, my advice pool was limited to those around me, who, in hindsight, didn't have the outcomes I desired.
It's not their fault, but I was stuck in a loop of similar perspectives.
But guess what? We live in an age of unprecedented access to diverse perspectives.
Books, podcasts, videos…they're all at our fingertips, offering fresh viewpoints.
When I read that tweet from Alex, I was inspired from his knack for crafting succinct, impactful messages.
It hit me…the true flex isn't flashy belongings; it's the intangible skills you hone along the way.
If you find yourself wanting what someone else has, shift your focus to what truly matters…their unique qualities.
It's all about embracing the elements that resonate with your soul.
